This Time It Is Lupus (Sort Of)

So here’s my long story of getting the El Gala Grande Dr. Cranquis treasure. Fast forward to the pictures if you don’t want to here me ramble…

I was supposed to go last week, but it was raining hard in NYC and I didn’t feel like going out. Then my friend V (who doesn’t have a Tumblr but insists on being called the Co-Chief Cranquistador(k) because she and I both solved the “Tiger’s Eye” clue by hand way back when this whole thing started) were supposed to go another day, but it was raining again. Then the forecast lied as it tends to do a lot, and it didn’t rain the rest of the week, but we weren’t free.

So we went today. And guess what? Yes, it rained and we didn’t have umbrellas. We found our treasure and originally planned to walk to Midtown so I can drop something off somewhere, but took the train because it was raining. And today neither of us had an unlimited metrocard. Well, we dropped of my stuff, and got back on the train (which came fast), only to realize we were going back uptown. We had to get off at Grand Central Station once again, so we could catch the downtown-bound train without going out of the station.

When we got back to our home borough, V caught her bus right away, while I waited and drenched in the rain waiting for my bus (but I don’t mind getting wet). And of course when the bus came, people crowded and pushed and kept their umbrellas open until the very last minute so they could poke other peoples’ eyes out (seriously, I’m sure a bit of rain won’t kill you).

Anywho, I had a feeling Dr. Baffled and TLOTH were in on this - why else weren’t they getting the treasure if they live in NY? But I still find it very hard to believe that out of 14,000 followers, Dr. Cranquis has no other followers in NYC besides the three of us. Unless they’re all just super super busy. Or maybe they wanted an Amazon gift card too. Or maybe the book itself. Or maybe some ice cream…

Well, here’s the treasure (finally)! Sorry for the small pics. Tumblr won’t let me upload the larger versions.

That is some really nice handwriting! (TLOTH? Mrs. Cranquis?)

The treasure was in here.

Now the question is: Do I want to share what’s on the CD? Maybe when I’m feeling friendly ;)
