Bad coffee makes me so sad.

Oh so sleepy and tired and lazy last few weeks. And hungry like all day. Ugh why? I just want to sleep all day. Even after napping and sleeping. Where’s the coffee? Ran out. Someone just hook me up to a mocha latte IV already.

About 10 pages done. About 20 more pages to go. And a gazillion more pages to read. At least this love-hate relationship is better than the one with organic chem and physics.

And then that darn mystical theology class.

Blue Bottle

Yesterday’s coffee adventures with Y and V included going to Blue Bottle in Chelsea. Got a caffe mocha of course, and that chocolate must have been really dark because the mocha was so bitter. I don’t mind bitter, but I can tell you my favorites are The Bean, Everyman Espresso, and Gimme Coffee.

There was only one size at Blue Bottle, and the mocha was $5 - way overpriced in my opinion for that size - the usual mocha ranges from $4.25-$4.75. We didn’t check upstairs where they have siphoning and toasts, but we figured siphoning would be about $6, which we weren’t interested in spending. Y got the New Orleans iced coffee, which she says was also very, very bitter. V got a latte, and said it was good.

We saw the barista giving another customer an iced tea, and all she did was put a tea bag in a cup with ice and water - V, the tea expert, says that will never work…

I guess Blue Bottle coffee is just really strong - when I had the affogato from the Coolhaus truck, the iced coffee was very bitter, but the ice cream made it better.

We then checked out the Chelsea Market. We tried the java witch brownie from The Wicked Witch and V and I liked it, but Y didn’t. Y says we should have tried the classic, but that I go crazy over anything java I see…but it was good!
